DOWNTOWN RAPID CITY, SD – Grab your basket and hop down to Main Street Square for Eggstravaganza from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 31, featuring an Easter egg hunt in Memorial Park, family-friendly activities, and an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny. Eggstravaganza is free to attend and is sponsored by Black Hills Community Bank.

The Easter egg hunt, featuring 10,000 eggs, will be held at Legacy Commons Playground in Memorial Park promptly at 11 a.m. There will be a separate area for children ages 0 to 3 to hunt for Easter eggs.

Children will have an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny and get photos with him and the Black Hills Community Bank fire truck beginning at 11:15 a.m. Parents are encouraged to bring their own cameras for the photo opportunity, as a professional photographer will not be provided.

There is something fun for everyone in the Regional Health and Scull Construction Kidz Zone, including the Main Street Square Fun Express train and inflatable bounce houses. JDProductions will provide family-friendly entertainment on the Main Street Square stage throughout the event. Get your face painted by the Miss Rapid City Scholarship Foundation, do an art project with the Gabrielle Selley Arts, or grab a bite to eat from a delicious food vendor.

“Everybody’s favorite bunny will be at Main Street Square for an afternoon of spring fun,” said Elizabeth Smith, events director of Main Street Square. “The activities begin at 11 a.m. with an egg hunt at Legacy Commons Playground. Don’t be late!”

Children are invited to showcase their creativity in a coloring contest for a chance to win an egg-celent prize basket from Who's Toy House, Who's Game House, and Who's Hobby House. Pick up your coloring contest sheet and submit completed entries at Who’s Toy House or the Main Street Square Office (located on the lower level of the Shops at Main Street Square). Entries are due Thursday, Mar. 29. The winners of the coloring contest will be announced at 1 p.m. on the Main Street Square stage and presented their prize basket by the Easter Bunny.
